The Centre’s mandate is to advance climate adaptation and mitigation through research, training, policy design and strategic advisory services.
Objectives
- Conduct high-impact research on climate change adaptation and mitigation in Africa.
- Build the capacity of African institutions, professionals and policymakers to address climate challenges.
- Provide evidence-based policy design and advisory services to governments and organisations.
- Foster partnerships and collaboration among stakeholders across the continent.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement targets.
