C3AMS shall focus on new and emerging technologies, multidisciplinary and
translational research relevant to environmental sustainability, climate adaptation
and mitigation, carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration, carbon engineering,
energy transition, and green building and development in Africa.
Led by the President of the African University of Science and Technology, the Centre
provides training, research analysis, consultancy services, advocacy, and policy
design and engagement. The Centre drives an R&D culture at the continental level,
increasing collaborative and sponsored research, publications, and the application of
research outputs, patents and innovations.
We provide research, advisory, training and consultancy services across three
operational units: climate change mitigation; climate change adaptation, risks and
sustainability for impacted systems; and finance, policy design and stakeholder
engagement.
